      Pros: Innovative

      Cons: Poorly executed outside core functions

      Verdict: As crude and basic security it'll do and it's well built, but consumers would get good performance out of any QuickCam.

      Pros: Pan, tilt and zoom ; integrated microphone ; straightforward video email capability

      Cons: Potentially tricky installation ; erratic face-tracking software ; whiny motors, jerky movement

      Verdict: The QuickCam Sphere is a competent Webcam with useful pan and tilt capability and a built-in microphone. However, its face tracking functionality is frankly disappointing.
