      Low

      By M. David Stone

Review summary: The Visioneer Strobe XP 450 ($699.99 direct) differs from every other document scanner we've tested in one important aspect: It's limited to scanning only one side of the page. So although most document scanners claim one speed for pages per minute ...

Pros: Scans one side at 20 sheets per minute. Allows manual duplexing.

Cons: Doesn't have a duplex scan mode. Comes with a consumer-oriented OCR program, rather than a business-oriented one, and with PaperPort 9 as tested, not the current Version 10.

Verdict: It's certainly worth considering for its speed and price, especially if you mostly scan single-sided documents.
