Pros: Compact, simple to use, comes with SilverFast Ai software and has built-in dust and dirt removal processing. Good optical scanning resolution and pricing
Cons: Slow to scan larger files, even slower when iSRD processing is active. Windows PC compatible only plus some over processing removes detail when iSRD is on
Verdict: A great little film scanner, one that is ideal for the enthusiast on tighter budget looking to digitise years? worth of negs or slides

Pros: Scans slides and negatives. Comes with SilverFast, a high-end, but easy-to-use, scan program. Includes a one-slide-size light box on top.
Cons: Requires manual positioning of the film or slide. Scans one slide or photo at a time. Scan quality is mixed.
Verdict: The Plustek OpticFilm 7200 claims a 7,200-pixels-per-inch (ppi) optical resolution, but it doesn't truly deliver. High-resolution scans are marred by artifacts similar to pixelization. And the overall quality and acceptability of each scan depends on ...
