Sony DPP-FP30 Review - Photo Printers

      By Calvin Siew, CNET Asia

Review summary: Unlike its predecessor, Sony's latest PictureStation doesn't try to do too much -- dropping the LCD display, video-out capabilities and memory card slots -- and as such sports a much smaller form factor.

Pros: Prints directly from memory cards, digicams, and mobile phones, TV hookup ; produces clean, high-quality photos, Small, portable form factor, Handy remote, Fairly inexpensive, Excellent print quality, Fast, PictBridge support, Easy to use, Stylish ...

Cons: No battery or USB power available, Some banding noted when printing black-and-white photos, TV or PC required for cleaning cycle, No memory card reader, No battery pack option, Slightly higher cost per print

Verdict: This snapshot photo printer makes beautiful prints for a reasonable price, but its cost per print is another story.
