      Samsung ML-1630

      Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: Cannot take legal-size or thick stock, low-capacity input tray

Verdict: The very stylish Samsung ML-1630 flouts the monochrome laser printer's reputation for dull efficiency. It's a decent machine whose low-capacity input tray and pricey toner restrict it to individuals or small offices that wouldn't mind sacrificing some ...

      Samsung ML-1630 monochrome laser printer

      By Melissa Riofrio

Review summary: Samsung's is a personal monochrome laser that looks more like a Frank Lloyd Wright House-and has a similarly idiosyncratic personality. It's not very practical, but it is, at least, inexpensive, and adequate for light office or home use.

      By Rory Reid

Review summary: The Samsung ML-1630 is the first real attempt at making printers look sexy. Its sleek, piano-black finish, gorgeous blue lights and split-level design make it into one of the most attractive printers we've seen. With touch-sensitive buttons completing ...

Pros: Looks ; easy to operate

Cons: Not many features ; limited paper capacity

Verdict: The Samsung ML-1630 is very average by printer standards. It's not particularly quick, it's not wireless and it doesn't hold much paper. But forget all that. Its print quality is fine for most users, it's quiet and most importantly -- it's absolutely ...
