      HP Photosmart Pro B8850 review

      By Rick LePage,

Review summary: ViewSonic's new professional-level 22in monitor has excellent colour reproduction but is let down by poor viewing angles

Verdict: The Photosmart Pro B8850 isn't a radical shift from HP's initial entry into the pigment ink printer market. HP wisely chose to whittle the right features from the B9180 to create an affordable, entry-level printer for photographers looking for ...

Review: HP Photosmart Pro B8850 printer

      By Rick LePage

Review summary: The HP Photosmart Pro B8850 photo printer is a strong offering with very good print quality on most paper types and excellent black-and-white printing capabilities.

Pros: Very good print quality, especially on matte and fine-art papers ; produces neutral black-and-white prints ; supports thick fine-art media ; long-lasting prints on HP media ; good software utilities

Verdict: The result is a strong, solid printer that produces very good prints, especially on fine-art papers and HP's Professional Satin paper. By including innovative features that support third-party papers, HP is also recognizing that there is an ecosystem ...

      Award: Highly Recommended!

Review summary: Following hot on the heels of the popular Photosmart Pro B9180 13 inch / A3 photo printer, HP has just introduced a lower price model, the B8850, that will appeal to enthusiasts who don't need all of the features of the B9180. The HP B8850 was ...

Verdict: We're constantly asked the questions "What is the best digital camera?", "Which camera should I buy?" and "I have X amount of money, what's the best digital camera in my price range?". In attempt to answer all of these questions and lighten the load ...
