      Hewlett-Packard Laserjet 2600n

      By Paul Jasper

Pros: Compact and lightweight, good quality text printing.

Cons: Poor colour printing, too slow, high cost per page.

Verdict: Given the 2600n's high costs per page and lagging print speeds, consider spending more for the much faster and more efficient Dell 3000cn.

Top Colour Laser Printers: HP Color LaserJet 2600n

      By Paul Jasper

Review summary: This simple-to-use model prints very sharp text, but does so slowly, making it best suited for home offices.

Verdict: The 2600n's paper drawer holds up to 250 sheets of plain paper. For $200 you can add a second 250-sheet tray, which might be handy for printing your letterhead, but hardly turns this unit into a high-capacity workhorse. No optional duplexer is ...

Cons: Lagging print speeds ; High costs per page

Verdict: The four toner cartridges are the only replaceable parts, and they slide easily into individual slots behind the fold-down front door of the printer. The 2600n comes with full-capacity cartridges, though their rated capacities are modest: just 2500 ...

      By Dan Littman

Review summary: This network-ready colour laser printer is affordable, but we prefer the faster Samsung CLP-510

Pros: Inexpensive ; easy to use ; great black-text quality

Cons: Prints text slowly ; expensive toner ; mediocre colour-graphics quality ; USB cable not included

HardwareCentral - HP Color LaserJet 2600N Review.

      By Eric Grevstad

Verdict: When you take the 2600N out of the box, the four toner cartridges are already stacked inside the printer, but you must remove, pull out a strip of sealing tape, and reinsert each one, along with removing various other pieces of tape and plastic and ...
