Epson Stylus Photo R300M: Stylus Photo R300M
By Dan Littman
Pros: Produces the highest-quality photos available for the price. Many extras including colour LCD screen, CD/DVD printing and card slots.
Cons: Photo printing is slow. Image quality not in same league as Epson's own R800. Direct printing technology often irrelevant.
Verdict: Via the port on the front of the printer, you can connect and print directly from a digital camera that supports Canon's PictBridge or Epson's USB Direct Print technology. Manufacturers whose cameras support USB Direct Print include Casio, Minolta, ...

Epson Stylus Photo R300

- Pros: Cheap to run, excellent quality prints, excellent help line.
- Cons: Conflict issue with MS SP2
I have been using this printer for over a year now and have found it to be very reliable and very cheap to run! This printer has been well used for Photo printing, CD printing and document printing, and has performed beyond my expectations.
The only downside was that when I installed MS SP2 on my computer, there were conflict issues with the print quality, making the picture very dull and no amoun...

Epson Stylus Photo R300
By Kimberly Nalda (04/04/2006)
- Pros: one of the cheaper color printers
- Cons: malfunctioning after only 1 year, uses too much ink, poor quality pics
After a mere year of owning this product, I find that I am unable to realign the printer heads enough to actually get a quality black ink printed page. I have purchased more than 20 replacement ink cartridges, and go through them very quickly. I do not do much home printing at all. Now, the black ink is no longer in alignment so all my pictures look grainy and no matter how much I re-align the pri...

Epson Stylus Photo R300
By Anonymous (10/02/2006)
- Pros: Quality Prints
- Cons: Poor Cartridge instalation.
Excellent dpi for outstanding prints on both A4 (Borderless prints) and CDs! One major flaw is the cartridge system. Six seperate ink cartridges are used but installing them into the cartridge bay involves manually breaking the seals to lock them onto the print head. This causes leaking of ink around the sealing onto print surfaces and blocking of print heads. Beware.

Epson Stylus Photo R300
By GARY HAWKSWORTH (29/12/2005)
- Pros: Cartridges available from ebay at vey low cost. good quality printing
- Cons: Need a pc to operate properly. Go for the R200
This printer is the cheapest to run that I have come across. Because the ink is seperate from the print head there is no perceivable loss in print quality by using other suppliers ink replacements. It costs me £7 for a full set of replacement inks. Just look on ebay and you will find similar.
