Aculaser C1100

By Joan Wilson (08/11/2006)
  • Pros: Nothing especial comes to mind
  • Cons: Cost of a new Photoconductor Unit

After the Aculaser C1100 had printed 10,000 pages it told us that the Photoconductor Unit had come to the end of its life. As these Units are about the same price as the actual printer (£160) it appears somewhat exorbitant. I felt that we should have been told that this was the case and that would have stopped us buying a 3 year extended warranty. Furthermore, I would not have put in the last toner cartridge (also very expensive) had I known about the problem of 10,000 pages and the photoconductor! If I had bought a car and after about 8 months the engine had to be replaced, I should be very cross as I am with Epson!
