Epson AcuLaser C1100
By Darien Graham-Smith
Review summary: Painfully slow with colour, and the quality disappoints
Verdict: Other colour documents were similarly slow, and this disappointment was heightened when we saw the quality of the output. Blacks were deep enough, but visible dithering and substandard image reproduction put the Epson at the foot of the table for ...

Epson Aculaser C1100
Pros: Fast time-to-print for a single colour page, outstanding print quality
Cons: Doesn't support Ethernet, expensive running costs
Verdict: The Epson Aculaser C1100 is a good choice for low-volume colour printing, with best of breed output quality, providing you don't mind the slightly higher than average running costs and slow colour output.

Epson Aculaser C1100 colour laser printer
By Richard Wentk
Award: Best Buy!
Award: Best Buy!
Review summary: Out of the box the Epson Aculaser C1100 impresses, with solid build quality and styled looks. But the breadbin format gives the Epson Aculaser C1100 a larger than average footprint, and prospective buyers will have to sacrifice more desk space than ...

Epson AcuLaser C1100
By Helena Strachan (09/11/2007)
- Pros: Can't think of any
- Cons: Very expensive to run
Bought the printer in order to replace HP Ink jet, as we seemed to be spending a lot on cartridges.
Have found the Epsom to eats cartridges (High capacity cartridges at £135 each) and now a photoconductor unit.
This is not a cheap printer to run!! Quality is nice tho (compared to HP inkjet)

Epson AcuLaser C1100
By Anonymous (30/01/2007)
- Pros: Good print quality
- Cons: Small toner capacity, unsuitable for long runs
It prints well, but even the high capacity cartridge only does about 1700 pages before saying it is low on toner. At that point the machine stops every minute to calibrate itself - it stops for about a minute, which cuts the print rate pretty much in half. Not suitable for long print runs, in my view - crtainly it anoys me.

Epson AcuLaser C1100
By Ivan Cambell (21/12/2006)
- Pros: Good Quality prints
- Cons: Very expensive to run
NOT HAPPY
When I bought was told it would be much cheaper than bubble jet and much faster.
It is not cheaper, a full set of genuine toner cartridges costs nearly as much as new machine,
If you only print one or two pages at a time it is no faster than cheap bubble jet by the time it warms up. Much faster if printing many pages at same time.
Not easy to use and very poor instructions on use.

Epson AcuLaser C1100
By Joan Wilson (08/11/2006)
- Pros: Nothing especial comes to mind
- Cons: Cost of a new Photoconductor Unit
After the Aculaser C1100 had printed 10,000 pages it told us that the Photoconductor Unit had come to the end of its life. As these Units are about the same price as the actual printer (£160) it appears somewhat exorbitant. I felt that we should have been told that this was the case and that would have stopped us buying a 3 year extended warranty. Furthermore, I would not have put in the las...
