      Canon Selphy ES2 compact photo printer

      Verdict: The Canon Selphy's space-saving design is a boon, but its print speed and quality of output can't match the best of the bunch.

      Review summary: We were disappointed by the lacklustre colours in this Selphy's prints

      Pros: Good colour ; Superb low-light resolution ; Large colour LCD ; Competitive price per print

      Cons: No panoramic print option ; No retractable USB cable anymore

      Verdict: It was quite surprising, then, to discover the ES2's landscape image was just about the best of all, with rich, natural-looking greens and blues
