Canon Selphy CP770: Selphy CP770
By Melissa Riofrio
Review summary: Canon's bucket-shaped Selphy CP770 looks like something you'd fill with sand--but don't! This self-contained snapshot printer is cute and easy to tote, which makes up somewhat for other shortcomings.
Pros: Cute, self-contained design Inexpensive
Cons: Costly, complex consumables Slow; yellowish images
Verdict: The chief reason to buy the Selphy CP770 is for the fun factor. Though the dye-sublimation technology produces a decent print, it's too slow and plastic-intensive for me to recommend over other kinds of printing

Canon Selphy CP770
By Carrie-Ann Skinner
Review summary: You've taken photographs to impress: and the look alone of the Canon Selphy CP770 is such that you know its got a practical application. But how does it perform as a direct photo printer? We take a look.
Pros: Excellent choice of connection and editing options
Cons: Image optimisation slows down printing and does little
Verdict: The Selphy prints at a fixed resolution of 300dpi and took 65 seconds to produce a 6x4in print featuring our chosen image. The Selphy CP770 offers an excellent choice of connection and editing options and we couldn't fault it.

By Chris Holt
Review summary: Sporting a clever bucket design that allows for easy packing of cords and extra media, Canon's Selphy CP770 is a streamlined portable photo printer with an optional battery that can print with or without being connected to a computer.
Pros: Rich color ; portable ; easy-to-use LCD interface
Cons: Expensive ink and paper ; annoying perforated tabs ; limited print sizes ; OS X 10.5 drivers not in box (must be downloaded from Canon Web site)
Verdict: The Selphy CP770 sits atop a bucket-like container to store cables, paper, and more
