      Canon Selphy CP750

      By WDC Team

Review summary: The Canon Selphy CP750 printer is big brother to the CP740 and as such boasts a 2.4in LCD screen, direct printing from memory card and red-eye correction.

Review: Canon Selphy CP740 Photo Printer

      By Brian Chen

Review summary: The Canon Selphy CP740 is a compact photo printer that employs dye-sublimation, a printing process that uses heat to transfer images onto printable surfaces

Verdict: sells for it is postcard paper. Therefore, the back of each photo you print will have lines to write on and a box to place a stamp. I found this frustrating because the CP740's print quality is mostly pleasing, and I would want to print more than just ...

      Canon Selphy CP740 (3 mice)

      By Brian Chen

Review summary: The Selphy CP740 prints decent 4-by-6 inch photos, but overall its irksome limitations outweigh its benefits.

Pros: Dye-sub printing produces continuous tones and colors ; includes retractable USB cable

Cons: Paper type for 4-by-6-inch prints limited to Canon postcards ; lacks advanced image-editing features ; dark prints appear flat ; less intuitive operation than comparable printers

Verdict: Though the CP740 is advertised as a compact photo printer, the only 4-by-6-inch photo paper that Canon sells for it is postcard paper. Therefore, the back of each photo you print will have lines to write on and a box to place a stamp. I found this ...

      Canon SELPHY CP740

      By Felisa Yang

Review summary: The Canon Selphy CP740 offers a decent feature package and quality prints for an inexpensive compact photo printer. Casual snapshooters will be satisfied with this, but users who need more features should look elsewhere.

Pros: Inexpensive ; good quality prints ; very easy to use ; retractable USB cable/connector is a nice touch

Cons: Prints are a bit slower than the competitions ; very limited onboard photo-editing features ; photo colors need a bit of improvement

Verdict: On the front edge are three memory card slots that can accept most common memory cards, though some will require an adapter (not included). There's also a retractable mini-USB cable for directly connecting PictBridge cameras; we thought the ...
