      Microsoft Explorer Mouse

      By Jeremy Atkinson

Review summary: If you're willing to pay the price, you'll get superior tracking on just about any surface (other than mirrored ones or glass) with the Microsoft Explorer Mini Mouse ($80 street), which uses the same new BlueTrack technology as it's bigger relative, ...

Cons: Pricey. Not for lefties. Lack of clicky scroll-wheel detents makes line-by-line scrolling difficult

Verdict: The Explorer Mini Mouse is a good notebook companion, given its portability and tracking system, but you'll have to fork over some bucks for it.

      Microsoft Explorer Mouse

Pros: BlueTrack technology is more precise, nice design, easy button configuration, Mac OS X support

Cons: Not ambidextrous, no DPI stepping, large grip

Verdict: This mouse combines precise tracking technology with a decent design. For the average user the mouse certainly isn't revolutionary, but it's a reasonable cost for a decent improvement in precision.
