      Verdict: The gyroscopic mouse finally gets a mainstream makeover with the Logitech MX Air, aimed at media centre users.

      Verdict: It takes a good 24 to 48 hours to get used to, but trying out a gyroscopic mouse can be an eye-opening experiment for any desktop or laptop user

      Logitech MX Air

      Review summary: It's very attractive and practical but the very high price hurts its score. Also, we would have liked to have seen a faster sensor and buttons under the thumb.

      Pros: - Design, material, originality, - Can be transformed into a remote by simply lifting, - Precise in ''Wiimote'' mode, - 18 meter range (proven in tests), - Light at 95 g. Battery recharging dock.

      Logitech MX Air Rechargeable Cordless Mouse Review

      Pros: Easy-to-learn in-air navigation ; responsive scroll pad ; works just as well on the mouse pad as in the air

      Cons: Expensive ; no Mac support ; modest 800-dpi resolution ; lacks ergonomic features when used as a normal mouse

      Verdict: This long-distance mouse is a pleasure to use, whether you're pointing it like a remote control or just dragging it across a mouse pad.
