      Review summary: The Toshiba Satellite U400-108 is a consumer laptop designed for high-performance mobile use. Its powerful specification, stunning screen and compact chassis impress, but the low battery life and unique styling are sure to divide opinion.

      Pros: Good portability, Sleep-and-Charge USB ports, plenty of connectivity

      Cons: Short battery life

      Verdict: The U400 is a good size for travellers, has plenty of connectivity and good speed, and it's also well priced, but its battery life is short.
