By Cisco Cheng
Review summary: Don't let the Panasonic Toughbook CF-W5's small size and light weight fool you. This semi-rugged ultraportable can take a licking.
Pros: Weighs a scant 2.9 pounds. CD-RW combo drive is completely integrated. Magnesium-alloy housing. Long battery life. Upgrade options for wireless WAN. Full-size key pitch.
Cons: Performance is sluggish. Would like to see a DVD burner added.
Verdict: The Panasonic Toughbook CF-W5 is a durable little laptop that weighs a mere 2.9 pounds, is housed in a magnesium-alloy case, and completely integrates a CD-RW Combo drive.
