      Hewlett-Packard Compaq 2710p GP143PA

Pros: Responsive electronic pen, keyboard light, A4 size, cool operating temperature

Cons: Few shortcuts available in tablet mode, poor performance

Verdict: This unit is clearly not built for performance, but manages to do the basics with some serious style. Its cool operating temperature makes it comfortable to use over extended periods and we liked the responsive tablet controls.

      Cons: Unorthodox button placement

Verdict: This tablet could be faster, but input is supereasy even in full sunlight, and battery life is top-notch.
