Pros: Robust case, good workmanship, Good input devices, Matt display, Very low noise and temperature emissions, Very good battery runtime possible ;
Cons: Somewhat unreasonable order of ports, Moderate performance ;
Verdict: In idle mode the noise of the fan is alright. Although the fan runs permanently, it is not really annoying. Under load the noise level clearly increases, but, during office application the maximum noise level will seldom be reached

Hewlett-Packard Compaq 6710b
Pros: Price, Speakers, Sturdy build ;
Cons: No draft-n Wi-Fi, Could have had more comprehensive maintenance software
Verdict: Although the HP Compaq 6710b is not at the top of the game, it's a good value for money option. The included software could have been a little more comprehensive, but this simple notebook still does what it needs to do reasonably well.
