      Dell Inspiron 5150 business

      Pros: Superb performance ; awesome battery life ; big display ; DVD+R/+RW drive ; 802.11a/b/g wireless

      Cons: Too heavy for frequent travel

      Verdict: For mainstream notebooks, it doesn't get much better than the old Inspiron 5100--unless it's the souped-up 5150.
