      Acer Aspire 7520-6A1G08Mi

      Review summary: Acer's cheap, feature-rich laptop particularly impressed us with it's excellent display

      Pros: Excellent screen ; Decent performer for everyday tasks ; Plentiful connections

      Cons: Keyboard could be more robust ; Quite heavy

      Verdict: While it's not intended for multimedia use, we found it a pleasure to use for every day office tasks and even managed to deliver good battery life on test

      Pros: Low price ; big, beautiful screen ; discrete graphics card ; built-in Webcam ; DVI and FireWire ports

      Cons: Disappointing performance ; scroll strip not marked on touch pad ; some users might prefer HDMI port to DVI ; weak Webcam software ; no configuration options

      Verdict: For users who don't demand high-end performance and cutting-edge multimedia, the big, desktop-friendly Acer Aspire 7520-5115 offers considerable bang for the buck.

    • Cons: Officially Vista only support

    Tescos: £399

    Chipset is very new, released May 2007, and is a Nvidia Nforce 610M w/ Geforce 7000M graphics. Some models have the better and just as new chipset 630M w/ better graphics and built HD decoding.
