Verdict: Unlike most desktop replacements that fall short, the Aspire 6920G is the real deal.

Acer Aspire 6920G-6071
By Cisco Cheng
Review summary: Acer, of all companies, could bring Blu-ray into the mainstream with its Aspire 6920G-6071, the first 16-inch-widescreen laptop, which it will sell at a bargain price.
Pros: First laptop with 16-inch widescreen. Incredible bargain. Blu-ray drive included. HDMI-out. Discrete nVidia graphics. 3GB of memory. Impressive battery life for a desktop replacement.
Cons: Plain design. No FireWire port.
Verdict: Not only is the Acer Aspire 6920G-6071 the first to incorporate a 16-inch widescreen, it's also the first to bundle a Blu-ray drive for under $1,000.
