Value is the key as Apple adds features, lowers prices on iBook G4s and Mac minis

      By Jennifer Berger

Review summary: No update to Mac product lines escapes our attention-especially when it's the first revision of the Mac mini, with previously optional features for a low price. Bigger news is the iBook G4 line getting the PowerBook treatment with some high-end ...

Pros: Very good value ; adequate memory ; small and light ; good video-out options ; excellent design ; fast enough for basic tasks ; large hard drive ; AirPort Extreme and Bluetooth 1.0 now standard ; SuperDrive DVD burner

Cons: No audio-in port ; modem not included (optional)

      By Anthony Dhanendran

Pros: Small and stylish ; capable of doing fairly power-hungry tasks

Cons: Gets expensive when you add a keyboard, mouse, Bluetooth and a monitor ; no office software

Verdict: It's small, it's cute but can Apple's latest sapling meet the demands of modern computing?

      Mac Mini

      By Dan Grabham

Review summary: Good things come in small packages, but because it's a Mac, is it automatically bad?

Verdict: It's scarily attractive. Don't let it seduce you...
