September 2006
Apple eMac (1.42GHz)
Review summary: The eMac's 3.5-inch, 7,200rpm, 160GB hard drive is a real plus
Pros: Improved speed, All in one design, Double-layer DVD
Cons: It's a 22kg bruiser, Can be noisy, Flappy-sounding CD drawer
Verdict: And if you buy a new display, keyboard and mouse, the price of the mini climbs even higher. Factor in the hard drive differences and the eMac starts looking like a good deal

November 2004
Apple eMac
Pros: Compact all-in-one form factor. Stylish white case. Lowest price in this roundup.
Cons: 3D graphics are a little anemic for today's games. No DVD writable drive at this price. 40GB drive too small for today's needs.
Verdict: While the eMac has always been Apple's midrange leader, we'd recommend going with the eMac that starts at $999, and upgrading from there.
