Acer Aspire L310
By Joel Santo Domingo
Review summary: The relatively tiny Ace Aspire L310 desktop is one to consider for the design-minded or space-constrained.
Pros: Compact. Fairly loaded system. Minimal bloatware. Built-in Wi-Fi. Vista Home Premium including Aero support. Decent price for a Core 2 Duo powered system.
Cons: System fans put out constant noise. External power brick. Only 90-day antivirus subscription. No TV tuner in tested configuration.
Verdict: A small-form-factor PC in the HP Slimline and Mac mini vein, the Acer Aspire L310 is one to consider for design mavens and the space-constrained user. It's got a lot going for it, but a couple of shortcomings keep it from being great.
