By David Bayon
Award: Recommended!
Award: Recommended!
Review summary: Stunning living-room style, great image quality and a price thatwon't break the bank
Verdict: Not that it needed much adjusting out of the box: the stunning backlight was crisp and even, and colours were neutral too. It even has some preset colour modes worth looking at, not the usual once-tried-forever-forgotten settings we see on most monitors

Samsung SyncMaster 2232BW
Review summary: Stick this stylish monitor in your study and no one will mind if your PCs housed in a faded beige case...
Pros: Glorious pictures ; Good design
Cons: Minimal connections ; Bulky
Verdict: There are hundreds of monitors out there and dozens of retailers offering good prices. So we say hunt around for a bargain: £200 should be all you have to pay for a decent 22-inch display that matches the Samsung quality that's on offer here

Samsung SyncMaster 2032BW
Review summary: This time we didn't think there would be any surprises with this screen because the same panel is supposed to be in all 2032BWs. Unfortunately, we got the worst in this area and there are many problems.
Pros: - It's attractive, - Good reactivity even if it's less than that of normal 2 ms TNs
Cons: - Colors not adjustable, - Washed out blacks, - Big gamma problems, impossible to correct, - No zero dead pixel policy, - Fixed base, not vertically adjustable. No USB hub or card reader. Shimmering in movies.
