      HP iPaq h1940

      By Sandra Vogel

Review summary: HP has put its iPaq range on a diet but can the slimmed-down h1940 compete?

Pros: Thin case. Bluetooth built in. Removable battery.

Cons: No cradle. Not really a budget buy. Verdict: Build quality: Strong metal case that also looks good. Performance: Plenty of memory and a speedy feel. Features: An impressive hardware bundle. Value for money: Expensive but very stylish.

Verdict: A really good handheld computer with a lot going for it.

      HP iPAQ h1940

      By Riyad Emeran

Review summary: The h1940 is the baby of the iPAQ family but it's still pretty feature packed. It's small and sleek and won't break the bank.

HP iPAQ 1940/1945 and 1935 Pocket PC

      By Lisa Gade

Review summary: The iPAQ 1940 and 1945 (they're the same unit with different model numbers used to designate the retail channel through which they're sold) are HP's follow-up to the the hugely popular, slim and elegant iPAQ 1910. Though the 1945 looks the same as the 191

Pros: This is a great follow-up to the popular iPAQ 1910. It's got a good amount of internal memory, a nice transflective display, runs the new Pocket PC 2003 OS and comes in a very elegant, slim and light package. SDIO support means you'll be able to use WiFi

Cons: You won't be able to use keyboards and GPS units that connect directly to the serial port, only sync and charge cables/cradles. Battery life could be better, but considering the diminutive size of the 1945, the battery size is decent.

Verdict: Pro: This is a great follow-up to the popular iPAQ 1910. It's got a good amount of internal memory, a nice transflective display, runs the new Pocket PC 2003 OS and comes in a very elegant, slim and light package. SDIO support means you'll be able to use

      HP iPAQ H1940

      By Sandra Vogel

Review summary: The update to the H1910 keeps its predecessor's attractive design but offers improved performance and Bluetooth support.

Pros: Elegant, ergonomic design with built-in keypad and digital camera, Bluetooth connectivity built in, High-resolution screen, Dual expansion slots (Memory Stick, CompactFlash), Generous software bundle, including handwriting recognition.

Cons: Relatively bulky and heavy, Only 16MB of RAM provided, Poor battery life, Audio Player doesn't recognise CompactFlash media.

Verdict: Sony may finally have got the design of its flip-screen handhelds just about right. Now it needs to fix Audio Player, provide more RAM and improve battery life... Read Full Review.
