      Review summary: The D92 is the cheapest of the printers in this group test, at just £39. In the case of some printers a low price doesn't necessary mean low cost - since the price of ink may turn out to be quite pricey, but the Epson inks are good value on a price-per-pa

      Pros: Low price, inks in separate tanks, Epson's PhotoPrint software

      Cons: Very slow print times, flimsy construction, not particularly pretty appearance

      Verdict: It comes with Epson's Creativity Suite software, which can be used for editing digital images. This includes a reasonably good file manager for filing and finding images. It can be used for printing CD labels, driving a scanner, sending faxes or attaching

      Epson Stylus D92

      Review summary: We all like a bargain and on the surface this seems like a great one. But the cost of a printer needs to be weighed against its running costs. For this model, a new set of inks will set you back around £25

      Pros: Very cheap, Acceptable quality

      Cons: Slow, Very noisy, Install process convoluted, New inks cost almost as much as printer

      Verdict: It's by no means terrible, but it is slow, noisy and poor value. You should spend more
